Minimum Qualifications

  • A master’s degree in educational technology, instructional design, information technology, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in educational technology, instructional design, or a related area, preferably in a higher education or professional training setting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing and supporting educational technology tools and systems.
  • Prior experience in a non-instructional role (e.g., technology consultant, program coordinator, or faculty support specialist) is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of learning management systems (e.g., Brightspace, Blackboard, Canva etc.), multimedia production tools (e.g., Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite), and emerging technologies (e.g., AI, VR/AR).
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate technology solutions and their impact on educational outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) is preferred.
  • Experience working with faculty in a higher education setting to integrate technology into teaching and learning.
  • Experience leading technology initiatives in higher education, instructional design, or faculty development.
  • Familiarity with emerging AI, machine learning, and automation tools for instructional purposes.
  • Engagement in professional organizations such as ISTE , NCATE , EDUCAUSE , or AECT .
  • Knowledge of accessibility and universal design principles for digital learning environments.
