Professor in Addiction Psychiatry

About the role

The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine seeks expertise in the mechanisms underpinning substance use and the treatment of substance use and misuse. Applicants with experience in novel therapeutics (e.g., psychedelics, incretin mimetics) for substance use disorders are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Teach medical students, psychiatry residents, and postdoctoral fellows, including departmental lectures.
• Provide clinical evaluation and treatment for adults with substance use disorders.
• Develop collaborative and independent research programs focused on understanding and treating substance use disorders.
• Establish and maintain a program of federally funded research.

Requirements

• M.D. or Ph.D. degree.
• Board certification in Psychiatry.
