About the Role
Responsible for preparing and delivering coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways that reflect a commitment to the college's core values, an understanding of culturally responsive teaching, and knowledge of the teaching field. Meet professional standards for faculty in accordance with college policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses according to the schedule of classes, following approved course descriptions and syllabi established by the Division faculty and administered by the associate dean/director.
- Teaching assignments may be on one or more of the college's campuses or off-site locations, including evening and weekend programs.
- May include Dual Credit courses.
- Perform other duties as assigned, maintaining all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures, and core values.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or higher in any discipline and hold a current healthcare certification/licensure (e.g., Paramedic, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Registered Nurse, Registered Respiratory Therapist, Certified Surgical Technologist, Registered Health Information Administrator, Registered Health Information Technician, etc.).
- OR Doctoral degree in Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, or Chiropractic.
- Teaching experience is desired.
- This position is Security Sensitive, subject to a criminal background check. Additional background checks may be required for dual credit courses.
Qualifications
Associate's degree or higher in any discipline with current healthcare certification/licensure, or Doctoral degree in Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, or Chiropractic.
Skills
Teaching experience is desired.
