Rose State College seeks a Professor of Nursing Science within the Health Sciences Division.
Responsibilities
- Teach fifteen (15) credit hours per semester in assigned Nursing Science courses, following the course syllabi and program schedule.
- Maintain a minimum of fifteen (15) office hours per week.
- Develop and maintain course syllabi and instructional materials.
- Teach collaboratively across didactic, laboratory, and clinical components of the Nursing Science Program.
- Assist with student advisement and serve on program and college committees.
- Support skills lab testing.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Program Director or Dean of the Health Sciences Division.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Willingness to pursue a graduate degree in nursing at a minimum rate of six (6) semester hours per calendar year.
- Registered Nurse with a valid, non-restricted license to practice in Oklahoma.
- Two (2) years of full-time equivalent clinical experience prior to the first date of employment as a nursing faculty member.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including light lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs, reaching above shoulder, and periods of sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and stooping.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (desired).
- Experience in medical-surgical nursing, critical care, women’s and children’s health, and/or psych-mental health (desired).
- Previous teaching experience in a nursing education program, including online coursework (desired).
Must be eligible to work in the United States. The selected candidate will serve a probationary period and may be subject to a background check and/or drug test.
