About the role
Instruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques. Develops discipline related curricula, assess student learning, participates in program evaluation, college activities and serves on committees. Maintains college and department standards in support of the College's mission and strategic plan.
Responsibilities
- Teach 45 points per semester.
- Maintain office hours and college business hours.
- Serve on committees and work teams.
- Participate in special projects.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Health Education, Physical Education or Health-related field OR
- Master’s degree, and 18 graduate semester hours in Health Education, Physical Education or Health-related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Health-related field and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline OR
- Specialized training/industry certifications in a Health-related field, and competence gained through work experience.
- Associate degree or higher desired; minimum academic preparation must be at the same level at which the instructor is teaching.
- Master’s degree in Physical Education or Exercise Physiology OR
- Master’s degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Physical Education or Exercise Physiology
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, and on multiple campuses if needed.
- Occupational experience recognized, and teaching experience required.
- Ability to demonstrate the use of technology in the classroom; must be able to use the technology required for the assigned course.
- Coursework within the degree must reflect competencies in the courses to be taught.
- Must demonstrate cultural competency to engage and work with a diverse student and employee population.
Qualifications
- The minimum base pay for this position starts at $50,000.00 annually; however, the offer may vary based on the candidate’s education and experience.
- The position is open until filled with a first initial review date of May 22, 2026.
