Responsibilities

  • Oversee implementations and consultative engagements for Proofpoint Data Security products, including:
    • Endpoint DLP
    • Insider Threat Management (ITM)
    • SaaS/Email DLP
    • Cloud Application Security Broker (CASB)
    • SaaS Isolation & Adaptive Access Control (AAC)
    • Data Security Posture Management (DSPM)
    • Insider Threat Detection (ITD)
    • ITM On-Premises
    • Proofpoint Isolation
  • Develop new services, implement best practices, and assist in customer escalations as needed.
  • Ensure successful service delivery and customer success, including migration support from third-party DLP solutions (Microsoft + Symantec).
  • Manage and align client business priorities with data protection strategies as a subject matter expert on information security models, best practices, and operational strategies.
  • Deliver innovative ideas and solutions that drive measurable results for top Proofpoint accounts.
  • Engage with technical resources, analysts, project sponsors, and executives to provide excellent service delivery and communication, including:
    • Product deliverables
    • Conducting conference calls/meetings
    • Consulting process reviews/workshops
    • Briefings
  • Work with non-technical managers and executives to develop technical and business requirements for custom data security programs.
  • Thoroughly scope engagements by assessing client operations, gathering key business and functional requirements, and recommending improvements to optimize Proofpoint technologies.
  • Provide strategic program design solutions to help clients identify, protect, monitor, and manage their most protected data and people.
  • Collaborate with Professional Services, Support, Engineering, and Product teams to address customer concerns and manage escalations.
  • Work closely with sales organizations to ensure customer needs are met and satisfaction remains high.
  • Present updates to management, identifying risks, challenges, and proposed solutions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of industry experience in a customer-facing role.
  • 4+ years of experience in IT consulting or related fields.
  • Familiarity with Data Security, Insider Threat Management, Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, Data Security Posture Management, and/or Identity Threat Detection concepts.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional client service, with confidence to engage in-person and virtually.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and follow through to completion.
  • English proficiency in both technical and non-technical communication is required.

Skills

  • Experience in Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), GPO management, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Exposure to identity security tools, deep knowledge of "identity-centric indicators of compromise," and understanding of deception-based detection.
  • Experience in Windows Server environments; familiarity with web infrastructure components like IIS and MS SQL.
  • Basic understanding of Linux infrastructure.
  • Exposure to Microsoft or Symantec DLP solutions.
  • Technical Spanish speaking skills (desired).

Pay

Base pay ranges vary by geographic market:

  • SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area: $111,300.00 - $174,900.00 USD
  • California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska: $93,300.00 - $146,630.00 USD
  • All other cities and states: $83,600.00 - $131,340.00 USD

This role may also be eligible for variable compensation and/or equity.
