Professional, Materials Planner
About the role
This role oversees the efficient movement of materials from receiving or the warehouse to production. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing policies and procedures related to material control and inventory control, managing material schedules, and ensuring materials are ordered and in stock while maintaining acceptable inventory levels.
Responsibilities
- Works on problems of moderate scope and assists with projects or processes while receiving general instructions from higher level professionals.
- Applies research towards the planning, design, development, testing, and completion of projects.
- Impacts short-term and occasionally medium-term goals.
- Builds knowledge of organization and processes.
- Influences others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
Requirements
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
