About the role
The successful candidate will oversee and manage survey technicians, perform boundary, easement, deed, and title reviews, conduct detailed research at various levels, evaluate surveys, field notes, maps, aerial photographs, and other materials, and communicate with crew chiefs and the operations team.Responsibilities
- Oversight and management of survey technicians
- Perform boundary, easement, deed, and title reviews
- Conduct detailed research at town, county, and state levels
- Evaluate surveys, field notes, maps, aerial photographs, and other materials
- Identify potential project constraints and determine the best approach to complete projects on time and within budget
- Perform calculations of quantities and volumes
- Communicate with crew chiefs and the operations team on a daily basis
- Collaborate with drafting managers, design staff, and the operations team for status updates, challenge discussions, and plan revisions
Requirements
- A valid Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license, with multiple state licensures being a plus
- Field and office experience in land surveying is essential, with attention to detail being a must
- A proven track record of acquiring new clients and generating new revenue
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and the ability to take direction and grow with the company
- A proven track record of managing survey crews
- Self-motivation, drive, and the ability to work remotely are important for success in this role
- Experience using AutoCAD and/or Carlson Survey, with proficiency in Quickbase to log job statuses being a plus
