Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and oversee survey deliverables including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction, and right-of-way surveys.
- Provide technical guidance and quality assurance for survey projects.
- Cook up with field and office staff to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
- Interpret deeds, plats, legal descriptions, easements, and other survey records.
- Communicate with clients, engineers, contractors, and public agencies.
- Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation, as appropriate for experience level.
- Mentor and develop junior survey staff.
- Contribute to business development and client relationship efforts, where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state regulations, company standards, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in one or more states, or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity.
Experience in land surveying, with responsibilities appropriate to your career level.
Knowledge of survey principles, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Familiarity with industry-standard software and technology such as Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, MicroStation, Carlson, Leica, Trimble, or similar platforms is preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
