About the role

Kleinfelder is seeking a Licensed Professional Surveyor to join our team in the Ohio area. The office location is flexible, but preference will be given to candidates living in the Toledo or Columbus areas.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Field Surveys: Execute field surveys using advanced surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and laser scanners.
  • Boundary Determination: Analyze legal documents, deeds, and maps to establish and verify property boundaries.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, process, and analyze spatial data to produce accurate survey maps, plats, and reports.
  • Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of survey data.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance in all surveying activities.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other professionals, including engineers, architects, and GIS specialists, to integrate survey data into broader project plans.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and calibration of surveying equipment to guarantee accurate measurements.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records, field notes, and reports related to surveying activities.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand project requirements.

Requirements

  • Must have your PS or be able to obtain your PS within a reasonable time.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead and grow teams.
  • 5+ Years survey experience.
  • A positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Surveying or related field.
  • Experience: Must have 5+ years of surveying experience.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge in surveying and related fields.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with standard business hours.
