Production Worker-Direct Hire

About the role

The production worker is an essential part of the manufacturing process, responsible for supporting daily operation by transforming raw material into finished goods.

Responsibilities

• Performs all assignments in accordance with company policies.
• Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure efficient operation and adherence to safety standards.
• Inspect products to ensure they meet quality specifications and report any defects to supervisor.
• Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time.
• Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment (fast-paced).
• Understand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training.
• Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Attention to detail.
• Work well in team environment.

Physical Requirements

• Physical stamina - this job often requires standing for prolonged periods (8-12 hours) and performing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to work overtime, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently required to stand and talk or hear; and walk or sit.
• Regularly lifts and/or moves tools, materials and equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.

Mental Demands

• While performing the duties of this role, the incumbent is regularly required to use written and oral communication skills;
• Read and interpret data, information and documents.

Work Environment

• The employee predominantly works near moving mechanical parts, and on uneven surfaces.
• The employee is frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions.
• The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
