Production Worker - 3rd Shift

Position Responsibilities

• Works on Production line, according to procedures.
• May switch positions every two (2) hours and may be required to work other positions within the Production facility.
• Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training.
• Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person.
• Report any injury or accident immediately to supervisory and/or any unsafe condition.
• Maintain and follow GMP, ServSafe, HACCP, SQF, OSHA and OLM Food Solutions standards in the work environment.
• Ability to learn, participate and become knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing practices, 6 Sigma and Root Cause Analysis.
• General labor.
• Stack product on pallet.
• Able to run the inserter.
• May start up and shut down operations for line.
• Set up and change over metal detection & box taper Machine Operator – simple/complex.
• Able to utilize the box and bag maker.
• Able to accurately operate the cheese sealer.
• Able to operate pallet stacker, stacking 25-pound cases onto a pallet.

Required Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) year of age.
• Communication/Language Skills: Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is a must. Ability to read and comprehend documents, simple instructions and product labels.
• Certifications: Electric palate jack and HACCP certification preferred.
• Mental Skills: Perform basic math functions with the ability to calculate figures and amounts.
• Reasoning Abilities: Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Strong analytical skills with ability to identify opportunities.
