Production Technician Laborer

About the role

This role helps to foster self-reliance, care for the poor and the needy, and provide opportunities for giving and service by: helping members become economically and emotionally self-reliant; providing access to essential food and clothing items, helping members prepare for and respond to disasters; and providing humanitarian aid to relieve suffering; thus furthering the mission of the Church.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance on packaging lines to meet production plan (60%)
• Provide assistance in maintaining sanitation and safety standards of the facility (20%)
• Affords assistance in preparing packaging lines for daily production runs to ensure GMP and quality control standards are met (10%)
• Will receive special assignments from the supervisor to do general tasks (10%)

Qualifications

• Able to learn principles of Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) and quality control standards
• Must display required interpersonal skills that reflect Welfare Services policies, and the image of the Church
• Physically capable of heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, bending, kneeling, stooping, and standing in position for extended periods of time

• 2 years formal technical training
