Production Technician III

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate an overall understanding of plant safety rules, regulations, and company safety policies/procedures.
• Instill safety in others by modeling good safety practices and ensuring compliance with company safety policies.
• Identify potential maintenance needs and enter them into the work order maintenance management system (Maximo).
• Perform all work in compliance with standard operating and maintenance procedures, utilizing current Life Safety Training skills and safety requirements, including safe work permits, energy control isolation, IDLs, confined space entry, hot work, work plans, pre-job discussions, and plant safety inspections.
• Ensure contractors, visitors, co-workers, and others comply with company safety policies/procedures.
• Issue safe work permit documentation and perform lock-out tag-out of equipment; design lock-out tag-out IDLs for plant work.
• Perform plant cold start and warm start with assistance.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot plant analyzers.
• Manage day-to-day facility operations, both independently and with team support, while maintaining reliability and quality of delivered products.
• Exhibit instrumentation and mechanical aptitude; learn and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and corporate procedures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, flow charts, process piping ISOs, simple schematics, P&IDs, and electrical schematics; perform basic math operations.
• Write and redline standard operating procedures.
• Keep accurate records and adhere to documentation and record retention policies.
• Demonstrate proficient knowledge of control board and operator interface computer consoles.
• Perform operator rounds, water samples, truck loading, and operations PMs.
• Guide and coordinate completion of minor PMs; participate in plant planned outages.
• Promote and uphold a clean, organized environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Management.
• Participate in on-call rotation and support operational needs outside business hours and on weekends.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of technical training or operations experience.
• Ability to work extended hours/shift work as business needs dictate, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Knowledge/understanding of instrumentation, rotating equipment, and piping systems.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants (Process Safety Management, EPA regulations, FDA regulations, state/local regulations).
• Knowledge of proper methods for locking out and isolating equipment.
• Ability to use computers and Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to work in a team environment; demonstrated self-motivated attitude.
• Good verbal/written communication skills for effective interaction with management and external customers.
• Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work.
• Must be able to wear required PPE safety equipment, including hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, and FRC clothing.
• Full range of motion; ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to climb ladders and work off elevated platforms/surfaces.
• Able to work in non-conditioned environments for extended periods.
• Able to enter confined spaces for inspection, testing, and work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical Associate’s degree.
• Experience in the industrial gas industry.
• Experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Qualified in operation of forklift, man lift, and overhead crane.

Pay

$30.00 - $32.00 per hour
