Job Summary
The Electro-Mechanical Assembler will build electrical and mechanical assemblies per established procedures (build procedures, work instructions, etc.). Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities include assembling mechanical parts, wire electronic components, perform cable and panel wiring, inspect and test work, and keep work area clean and organized.
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical parts, as instructed in accordance with manufacturing documentation (assembly instructions, process documents, travelers, etc.) into sub-units or complete units.
- Mechanical assembly concepts to include gear and motor drive assembly.
- Wire electronic components as instructed in accordance with manufacturing documentation (assembly instructions, process documents, travelers, etc.) into sub-units or complete units.
- Assembles parts into sub-units or complete units, including sub-assembly, process assembly, inspection, modifications, upgrades and rework.
- Completes production/quality related documentation.
- Cable and Panel wiring.
- Performs work in accordance with quality and engineering standards.
- Responsible for inspecting and testing their own work before moving to next routing step.
- Keep work area clean and organized as to present a professional work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or eligible to obtain export control license.
- 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing/production environment.
- Overtime required when needed.
- Electro-Mechanical experience with: schematic reading and comprehension (mechanical and electrical), measuring tools (multi-meters, continuity testers, tape measure, calipers, etc.), hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, torque tools, small power tools).
- Preferred associated degree in electronic field.
- Preferred certifications: IPC-610, IPC-620, J-Standard 001, Quality controlled environment.
- 2-4 Years of relevant experience in the following areas: mechanical assembly concepts to include gear and motor drive assembly, assembly and repair of various termination types (crimp and solder), electro-mechanical assembly, schematic reading and comprehension (mechanical and electrical), testing equipment (multi-meters, power supplies, load banks, signal generators, oscilloscope etc.), using hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, torque tools, small power tools), working in an ISO controlled environment, lean manufacturing.
- Oral and written communication skills.
Pay
The anticipated salary range listed for this role is $42,500.00-$56,600.00. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
