Production Technician Associate - 1st Shift

About the role

The Production Technician Associate job at XPO requires a high degree of skill and assembling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Identify and perform repetitive assembly of various trailer component parts using blueprints or work instructions
• Use various measuring and inspection instruments, power tools, and hand tools in a safe manner
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality standards
• Organize parts and equipment to maximize efficiency within the department
• Maintain a professional demeanor and communicate in a respectful and collaborative manner
• Follow directions and be adaptable to changing conditions and expectations
• Collaborate and support other members of the company
• Maintain punctual and reliable attendance
• Demonstrate the company’s core values and comply with all company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Able to work in a team environment
• Able to read, understand, and follow job orders and work procedures
• Good communication skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a manufacturing environment

Skills

• Fine manipulations of parts with fingers
• Safety awareness and ability to follow safety rules
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and work outside, if necessary
• Ability to perform tasks in a variety of working conditions
