About the role
The Production Technician Associate job at XPO requires a high degree of skill and assembling techniques.
Responsibilities
- Identify and perform repetitive assembly of various trailer component parts using blueprints or work instructions
- Use various measuring and inspection instruments, power tools, and hand tools in a safe manner
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality standards
- Organize parts and equipment to maximize efficiency within the department
- Maintain a professional demeanor and communicate in a respectful and collaborative manner
- Follow directions and be adaptable to changing conditions and expectations
- Collaborate and support other members of the company
- Maintain punctual and reliable attendance
- Demonstrate the company’s core values and comply with all company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Able to work in a team environment
- Able to read, understand, and follow job orders and work procedures
- Good communication skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
Skills
- Fine manipulations of parts with fingers
- Safety awareness and ability to follow safety rules
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and work outside, if necessary
- Ability to perform tasks in a variety of working conditions
