Production Team Leader - System Manufacturing

Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Includes Service Shops. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning and execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Responsibilities

• Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees, typically managing hourly employee populations.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of technical discipline using prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy and strategy.
• Apply in-depth understanding of key business drivers to accomplish own work.
• Understand how the work of your team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
• Use judgment to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance.
• Solve straightforward tasks using prior experience and on-the-job training.
• Access technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems, potentially using multiple internal sources outside of your own team.
• Act as an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent.
• Provide informal guidance to new team members.

Requirements

• For roles in USA: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience) in a related field.
• Leadership experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
• Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
• Established project management skills.
