Job Description
The Production Support Lead Engineer is a strategic professional responsible for ensuring the integration of technology functions to meet business goals. This role requires a strong understanding of application support and the ability to analyze complex systems and processes. The engineer will work closely with various teams, including Product Owners and Business Analysts, to identify system enhancements and resolve issues. The position also involves advising and mentoring lower-level analysts while influencing strategic decisions within the business.
Requirements
- 6-10 years of experience in Production Support
- Working knowledge of Oracle and MS SQL, including the ability to build ad hoc SQL queries
- Working knowledge of UNIX (Linux) and Windows systems
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic business knowledge and understanding of financial markets and products
Responsibilities
- Partner with multiple technology teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals
- Identify and define necessary system enhancements and analyze existing system logic
- Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex application enhancements
- Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Systems Analysts to document systems impacts
- Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and security issues and propose risk mitigation options
- Act as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts and allocate work
- Provide in-depth analysis to define problems and develop innovative solutions
- Assess risk when making business decisions and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
