Vice President, Production Support Specialist
Role Objectives
- Delivery
- Provide end-to-end production support for Java/JEE applications deployed in Azure and on-premises environments.
- Diagnose and resolve production incidents and software issues, ensuring timely and effective support.
- Develop and maintain documentation for supported processes, updating materials to reflect changes or enhancements.
- Collaborate with project teams to define and design project scope.
- Implement and maintain monitoring for all supported components to enable proactive alerting.
- Improve system capacity, performance, and 24x7 availability.
- Refactor and optimize existing applications to enhance performance and reliability.
- Generate ad hoc reports to support business requirements.
- Participate in incident review meetings to analyze trends and define new policies and procedures that improve application stability and reliability.
- Mentor and train junior team members.
- Partner with business teams to understand user needs and contribute to roadmaps for new processes and features.
Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field plus 7 years of progressively responsible experience.
- Experience must include the following:
- Java;
- SQL;
- Azure;
- Unix;
- production incident management.
The required skills do not need to be maintained over the full term of the required experience.
Pay
The anticipated salary range for this role is between $190,000.00 and $196,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire.
