Production Support

About the role

The Production Support position is an entry-level role within the Production team at Buffalo Rock Company. This position is essential for learning how to operate machinery and maintaining cleanliness in all manufacturing areas.

Responsibilities

• Keep all floor areas and plant grounds clean using brooms and hoses.
• Pick up trash from plant grounds, including the parking lot.
• Clean floor drains and screens as needed.
• Empty and clean recycling hoppers and return them to assigned areas.
• Sort items for recycling and place them in appropriate compactor/crusher.
• Empty trashcans throughout the plant.
• Maintain cleanliness of the lunchroom and restrooms.
• Maintain and move pallets of drinks as necessary.
• Train on production lines to learn various machines and jobs.
• Relieve line employees for breaks and handle absenteeism.
• Run a floor scrubber as needed to clean floors.
• Paint catwalks, machinery, walls, etc., as needed.

Requirements

• Long periods of walking and standing.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to reach above shoulder level.
• Ability to grasp objects.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to bend and squat/kneel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• Attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and endurance.
• Good communication skills.

Pay

Salary range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience.

Schedule

This position works 12-hour shifts, rotating between Red Nights (7pm-7am).
