Responsibilities
- Counsels, records, and disciplines as necessary.
- Develops Production leads to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned crew in the event of the production supervisors absence.
- Conducts pre-shift meetings, communicates changes, company information, and plans to employees every shift.
- Attends Tier Meetings as set forth by leadership team and provides information on Tier boards.
- Creates a training plan for new hires and supports any onboarding needs.
- Be alert to production problems and take necessary corrective action.
- Maintain shift reports/records; ensure necessary operating supplies/materials are on hand.
- Maintain a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the manufacturing mission.
- Interviews and recommends applicants for hire as forming employees.
- Creates shift schedule and modifies accordingly as changes occur with production and employees.
- Collaborates with other employees to develop and install methods, improvements, and cost-saving ideas.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.
- Ensures established policies, rules, regulations, and procedures are followed.
- Safeguards employees’ safety, maintains housekeeping, and meets production quality and quantity standards.
- Responsible for budgets and business planning for department and establishes and meets department goals and objectives.
- Reviews and ensures SPC data and Production reports are completed.
- Directly supervises 18-30 employees in the Production.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to lead, motivate, select, train, and instruct personnel.
- Good interpersonal, organizational, communication, and mechanical skills.
- Computer skills required for multiple graphs, reports, and charts.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- College degree in a related field; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
