Production Supervisor Nights 6pm to 6am 12hrs Shifts

About the role

The Injection Molding Production Supervisor at American Plastics will oversee production activities, manage resources, and ensure high-quality, efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Direct job assignments and provide leadership to the production staff
• Manage production resources for a high-volume manufacturing operation
• Maintain high levels of order fulfillment with good quality and operating in safe conditions
• Inspire, train, and develop a cohesive production team to achieve safety, quality, service, productivity, and profitability goals
• Respond to problems by troubleshooting and adjusting molding parameters
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Evaluate and provide timely feedback on employee performance
• Recommend and implement process improvements to maximize productivity, reduce waste, improve quality, reduce costs, and provide a safe work environment
• Monitor processes to ensure productivity and quality standards are being achieved
• Analyze and resolve processing issues
• Understand and utilize the escalation process for technical and safety issues
• Understand and prioritize schedules
• Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

Requirements

• Experience leading injection molding teams and working knowledge of processing plastics
• Troubleshooting and adjusting molding parameters to maintain quality and output
• Knowledge of production KPIs and communicating these to staff
• Ability to evaluate and provide timely feedback on employee performance
• Willingness to roll up sleeves and be on the floor as well as in office management
• Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Management, or related field preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years related experience, with plastic injection knowledge required
