Production Supervisor - Metal Finising/Plating- 1st Shift
Location: Avtec Finishing – New Hope, Minnesota
Schedule
1st Shift | Monday-Thursday | 5:00 AM - 3:00 AM + Overtime as Needed
Pay
Starting at $33.17-$46.63/hour (Based on Qualifications)
Signing Bonus: $1,500 (New hires only. Current employees are not eligible.)
About the role
We're looking for an experienced Production Supervisor who enjoys leading people, solving problems, and creating an environment where employees can succeed. This position is responsible for leading a production team while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery. You'll be a visible leader on the production floor—coaching employees, removing obstacles, improving processes, and helping your team achieve success. Our work supports the medical, aerospace, defense, and industrial manufacturing industries, where quality, consistency, and accountability matter every day.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop production employees.
- Assign work and adjust staffing to meet production schedules.
- Monitor productivity, quality, and labor performance.
- Conduct regular floor inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.
- Train new employees and support ongoing employee development.
- Enforce company policies and safety procedures.
- Promote a positive culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain employee performance documentation and production records.
- Communicate production updates and operational concerns with management.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Shipping, and other departments to improve efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing or production leadership experience.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
- Experience managing production schedules, quality, and productivity.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to read blueprints and use basic measuring tools.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Dependable attendance.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the United States, as required for certain customer and government-related work.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- College degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Metal finishing or plating industry experience.
- CEF/NASF Certification or willingness to obtain.
- HAZWOPER/Hazardous Waste Training.
- Forklift Certification.
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
