About the role

The Production Supervisor will provide leadership and support to manufacturing teams to create a safe, productive, and profitable environment. This role plans and facilitates team member work to ensure on-time completion of production schedules while meeting quality, housekeeping, and safety objectives. The supervisor will develop high-performance teams through ongoing coaching, fostering a People First Culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead 1-2 small or similar areas/processes within the production facility/line.
  • Guide production team members in a union and/or non-union environment on manufacturing processes and provide daily support in troubleshooting issues.
  • Provide performance feedback and appraisals to team members to guide their development.
  • Educate and enforce quality, safety, and 5S standards; recommend process improvements as opportunities arise.
  • Support maintenance, continuous improvement, and value stream projects to meet production schedule demands.
  • Conduct root-cause analyses of manufacturing processes to identify, define, and resolve problems and opportunities; enlist support for timely resolution and implementation of improvements.
  • Report and respond to product and process nonconformance issues.
  • Implement and sustain 5S in work areas, ensuring essential tools and materials are readily available.
  • Champion process improvements, lead Kaizen events, and drive changes in machines, processes, materials, and assembly.
  • Create value stream mapping and standard work.
  • Accurately maintain company records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with three (3) or more years of manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to plan and organize projects.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Occasional: Driving, fine dexterity, manual dexterity, upper extremity repetitive motion.
  • Seldom: Lifting/carrying 25 lbs., pushing/pulling 25 lbs.

  • Frequent: Analysis/reasoning, communication/interpretation, math/mental computation, reading, sustained mental activity (e.g., auditing, problem-solving, report writing), writing.

Environmental Demands:

  • Frequent: Working alone, frequent task changes, tedious/exacting work.

Work Schedule: Routine shift hours with infrequent overtime, weekends, or shift rotation.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $73,200.00 – $117,800.00 across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by factors including the scope and responsibilities of the role, candidate experience, education, skills, and equity among team members in similar positions.
