Production Supervisor (Liquid Batch Manufacturing Exp. Req.)

About the role
Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team. In this role, you will provide hands-on leadership in a high-volume liquid batch manufacturing operation, ensuring products are produced safely, accurately, and according to established formulas and quality standards. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with experience within liquid batch manufacturing or fluid compounding environments such as chemical, beverage, personal care, industrial cleaners, paint, or similar industries. To be successful, you must be highly organized, process-driven, and comfortable leading by example while spending the majority of your time on the production floor. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities and provide leadership for the batch manufacturing team
- Spend approximately 85% of your time on the production floor supporting operations
- Ensure batches are produced according to specified formulas and meet quality standards
- Train, coach, and develop 8-12 Batch Operators to improve performance and consistency
- Follow and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) & Work Instructions (WI)
- Complete and maintain accurate production, inventory, and batch documentation
- Coordinate daily production priorities with Planning, Production, Purchasing, and Quality teams
- Monitor raw material inventory and maintain accurate inventory records and cycle counts
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe environment
- Conduct routine safety inspections and proactively address potential hazards
- Support the loading and receiving of bulk raw materials as needed
- Interact with customers during trial or test formula batches
- Maintain a clean and organized production environment to prevent contamination
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in liquid batch manufacturing or fluid compounding is required
- Leadership or production supervisory experience is required
- Strong process documentation, procedure, organizational, and recordkeeping skills are required
- Comfortable standing, bending, walking, and lifting up to 55 lbs. without restriction is required
- Ability to work occasional Saturdays and overtime as needed is required
Pay
$80,000 - $85,000+ plus profit sharing
Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 6:00am–4:30pm or 7:00am–5:30pm (flexible)
