Supervisor of Production

About the role

Entrust is seeking a Supervisor of Production to join our dynamic, growing Manufacturing team. As a Supervisor of Production, you will execute manufacturing operations on the production floor in accordance with the department manager. This position will lead, train, and direct colleagues, build and support Entrust products, and participate in projects to improve and increase efficiency in the Operations area. The role supports the Desktop Assembly area and works Monday through Thursday on second shift with core hours from 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Assign and reassign tasks to accomplish prescribed work efficiently.
• Set priorities for the team and allocate work to meet those priorities.
• Serve as the go-to expert and trainer in one or more manufacturing areas due to deep technical product and process knowledge.
• Understand and perform processes for manufacturing products within work areas to achieve required quality levels.
• Assemble products with high quality and productivity on product lines.
• Act as the first point of contact to troubleshoot or escalate daily job issues.
• Display advanced assembly troubleshooting skills on multiple product lines.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects that save time, money, or create competitive advantage.
• Demonstrate strong organization skills to prioritize manufacturing work and achieve the shortest lead time for customer orders.
• Handle any task (build and pack) on any line, including setup of production areas, nonstandard projects, or assembly tasks as needed.
• Work with other departments to customize standard products to meet specific customer requirements.
• Develop, update, and validate documentation on technical processes.
• Interface with customers during factory acceptance testing as required.
• Perform preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration of product and equipment.
• Test products as needed.

Leadership & People Management

• Drive safe work practices and positively influence employee adherence to safety policies.
• Demonstrate cross-functional leadership skills, bridging gaps between supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing workflows.
• Provide technical advice and leadership to other employees in the department.
• Manage day-to-day decisions regarding task accomplishments, prioritization, problem resolutions, and quality issues.
• Perform general management responsibilities such as hiring, performance management, performance reviews, individual development activities, and conflict resolution.
• Monitor team performance against department standards and ensure these standards are consistently met or exceeded.
• Orient new employees and train new hires on policies and procedures.
• Hold all department colleagues accountable for company policies and procedures.
• Provide feedback to colleagues and lead or assist in disciplinary decisions and actions.
• Act as an escalation point for issues and provide leadership and guidance to the team.
• Provide necessary work direction and manage projects effectively through planning, organization, and project management.
• Ensure quality requirements are met and ISO 9001 standards are followed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the workplace and compliance with ISO 14001 standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of electro-mechanical experience.
• 1+ year of leadership experience.
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of specific work areas on the production floor.
• Ability to learn, understand, and adhere to all policies, practices, and procedures.
• Basic computer skills.
• Able to learn new things quickly, work as part of a team, and show initiative to accomplish tasks.
• Able to work in a standing position for extended periods and lift/install mechanical assemblies up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to lawfully work within the US with unrestricted work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics, electrical engineering technology, automated systems/robotics, or related field, or equivalent verifiable training (e.g., military training in a relevant field).
• 8+ years of electro-mechanical technician and troubleshooting experience.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Strong computer skills.
• Previous experience with industrial automation equipment or specialized machines.

Pay

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is $23.93-$35.10 per hour (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills, and experience. This position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan.

Schedule

This position works Monday through Thursday on second shift with core hours from 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
