We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor with a strong background in the FMCG or Packaging industry. The ideal candidate will have experience leading production teams, driving continuous improvement, and implementing manufacturing best practices to achieve safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery targets.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead production teams during assigned shifts.
- Manage daily production activities to achieve safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, and productivity targets.
- Lead teams of 15+ employees and ensure effective manpower allocation.
- Identify and eliminate production losses, downtime, breakdowns, and recurring equipment issues.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Implement and maintain Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Planned/Progressive Maintenance (PM) standards.
- Lead shutdown maintenance, breakdown elimination, and production loss-reduction activities.
- Monitor equipment performance and support improvement of OEE and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures including LOTO, GMP, and BOS.
- Ensure production processes meet required quality standards.
- Work closely with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
- Coach, develop, and motivate production employees.
- Handle interpersonal situations effectively and maintain a positive team environment.
- Support new product development and equipment improvement initiatives.
- Work effectively within a union environment, where applicable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 3–5 years of manufacturing/production experience.
- 1–2+ years of supervisory or production leadership experience.
- Experience managing or leading 15+ employees.
- FMCG or Packaging industry experience is mandatory.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with TPM and RCA.
- Experience with Autonomous Maintenance (AM).
- Knowledge of Planned/Progressive Maintenance (PM).
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices including LOTO and GMP.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AM Step 4+ and PM Step 3+.
- Six Sigma knowledge or certification.
- SAP/ERP experience.
- Experience with OEE, loss analysis, downtime reduction, and breakdown elimination.
- Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated results in productivity improvement, waste reduction, downtime reduction, or cost savings.
