About the Role
Production Supervisor is responsible for the safety, quality, training, development, and productivity of the personnel on their shift.
Responsibilities
- Leading the day-to-day operations in the converting department
- Ensuring that employees work safely and follow all plant rules and policies
- Maintain quality, efficiencies, and production levels set by management; communicate these standards to employees
- Identify improvement opportunities and assist with problem-solving activities
- Assess the performance and training of converting personnel and determine areas for improvement
- Provide training, development, and feedback for employees
- Establish high morale in area of responsibility by showing fairness and consistency when working with all employees; maintain confidentiality
- Maintain inventories of sheets, inks, and other converting supplies
- Oversee quality checks including box checks in production processes
- Conduct Production/Safety/Quality meetings with departmental personnel
- Monitor and maintain housekeeping throughout the plant
- Additional duties may be assigned by management
Requirements
- Associates degree preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to drive change
- Ability to solve process and production issues independently
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience with MS Office to include Word, Excel, and Outlook
- 1-3 years of demonstrated leadership experience required
- 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment required
- 5 years corrugated experience with a strong background in Flexo folder gluers preferred
- Knowledge of KIWI software a plus
- Must be able to work all shifts – 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
- Must be available to work weekends
