About the Role

Production Supervisor is responsible for the safety, quality, training, development, and productivity of the personnel on their shift.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the day-to-day operations in the converting department
  • Ensuring that employees work safely and follow all plant rules and policies
  • Maintain quality, efficiencies, and production levels set by management; communicate these standards to employees
  • Identify improvement opportunities and assist with problem-solving activities
  • Assess the performance and training of converting personnel and determine areas for improvement
  • Provide training, development, and feedback for employees
  • Establish high morale in area of responsibility by showing fairness and consistency when working with all employees; maintain confidentiality
  • Maintain inventories of sheets, inks, and other converting supplies
  • Oversee quality checks including box checks in production processes
  • Conduct Production/Safety/Quality meetings with departmental personnel
  • Monitor and maintain housekeeping throughout the plant
  • Additional duties may be assigned by management

Requirements

  • Associates degree preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to drive change
  • Ability to solve process and production issues independently
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with MS Office to include Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated leadership experience required
  • 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment required
  • 5 years corrugated experience with a strong background in Flexo folder gluers preferred
  • Knowledge of KIWI software a plus
  • Must be able to work all shifts – 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
  • Must be available to work weekends
