Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Why We Need You

The Production Supervisor ensures that employees safely produce the highest quality products, following the standards of operation as set forth by SGPPL, Clearwater. They lead personnel towards World Class Manufacturing Standards and are responsible for driving the team to meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators, OSHA, ISO, and FDA requirements. They also manage schedule adherence and Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) by department.

Essential Functions

• Supervise daily activities of subordinates on respective shifts.
• Develop personal/departmental goals and objectives and critique previous performance with each employee through an annual review.
• Supervise departmental activities and coordinate with other departments to meet facility/corporate objectives.
• Partner with engineering, planning, quality, and operators to drive continuous improvement within the scope of WCM, quality, cost, health, safety, and/or environmental objectives.
• Facilitate problem-solving activities to help troubleshoot problems on the production floor.
• Coach, develop, and mentor direct reports, which includes operators and leads.

Is This Job For You?

Education: A bachelor's degree in a technical field or business administration, or 10+ years of related experience in lieu of a formal degree. Experience: Leading, developing, and/or training others in a manufacturing environment - 3 or more years; supervisory experience in a regulated manufacturing environment - 5 or more years. Must have critical thinking skills, using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses or alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Technical leadership; ability to mentor and coach junior engineers and hourly operators. Ability to communicate effectively to peers, superiors, and subordinates.
