Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

About the role

The Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift at Pentair is responsible for leading and coordinating second shift manufacturing operations to safely achieve production, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement objectives. This role provides direct leadership to production employees, ensuring efficient execution of manufacturing schedules while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, operational performance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, compliant manufacturing operations by enforcing safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Direct daily production activities to meet schedule, efficiency, and customer requirements.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive improvements in productivity, quality, and cost.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, MDI, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Supervise, coach, and develop manufacturing employees and team leaders.
• Manage performance, attendance, onboarding, training, and employee engagement.
• Lead root cause analysis, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve operational performance.
• Support new product introductions, process improvements, and plant initiatives.
• Communicate operational results, priorities, and expectations to employees and leadership.

Requirements

• Ace's degree in Manufacturing, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; equivalent leadership experience considered.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, safety, quality systems, and workforce management.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP/MES, and manufacturing reporting systems.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and employee development skills.
• Experience in high-volume and union manufacturing environments preferred.
• Ability to work a Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM schedule.

Pay

The anticipated annualized base pay range for this full-time position is from $61,200 - $113,600 per year. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs.

This position may be eligible for a Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM schedule.
