Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Responsible for overseeing and assisting Team Leaders and Production employees to ensure organizational commitments regarding safety, quality, and delivery are met. Works closely with other departments to identify, analyze, and eliminate problems within the production environment. Ensures company policies and procedures are enforced and adhered to.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, direction, and oversight to the Production Team to ensure company objectives for Safety, Quality, and Delivery are attained.
• Assigns work assignments to Team Leaders and Production Employees.
• Ensures safety procedures are followed to promote personal safety and the safety of others.
• Practices strong engagement with direct reports and team members, including accepting diversity of ideas, sharing responsibility for success, demonstrating honesty and integrity, helping employees solve problems, and showing respect.
• Communicates daily issues and pertinent information to the production manager as needed.
• Provides training to Team Leaders and Production Employees as needed.
• Facilitates and documents all training for new hires, including 90-day and annual reviews.
• Manages team HRIS approvals.
• Completes all necessary production paperwork.
• Ensures 5S duties are performed daily on the production floor.
• Understands, supports, and follows all company policies, practices, and procedures.
• Works with the Management team to develop process improvement opportunities.
• Performs other assignments as directed.

Requirements

• Five to seven years of production team leader experience preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of lean techniques required.
• Previous computer experience.
• Availability and willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed.
