Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift
Responsibilities
- Directs all 2nd shift production employees.
- Trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; conducts performance appraisals; resolves conflicts; builds teams; coaches employees; addresses complaints; documents; and sets an example of superior behavior, attitude, and performance.
- Maintains quality, efficiencies, and production levels set by management.
- Communicates quality standards to employees.
- Determines quality guidelines.
- Maintains high morale within the department by showing fairness, consistency, and interest in employee problems.
- Coordinates with Plant Manager and Maintenance Supervisor on repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Informs Plant Manager of problems affecting department performance.
- Enforces corrective action procedures and conducts meetings with violating employees and human resources.
- Conducts weekly Production/Safety meetings with departmental personnel.
- Communicates with other supervisors to avoid shift change problems.
- Ensures compliance with Green Bay Packaging policies.
- Recommends training needs to Plant Manager.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Ensures customer priority.
- 3-5 years supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong technical skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to solve process and production issues independently.
- Experience with lean manufacturing techniques.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and computer knowledge.
- Experience in the corrugated manufacturing industry preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
