Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

About the role

Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is seeking a Production Supervisor- 2nd shift position at their Hager City, WI plant. This role oversees multiple activities, manages production operations, and ensures safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Ensure employees follow all safety procedures and protocols, serve on safety committees, and complete regular safety audits
• Manage daily production operations of heavy industrial products for assigned work group
• Set production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, materials supply, staffing resources, and volume required to meet demand and maximize production quantity and quality
• Overcome obstacles to achieve safety, production, efficiency, and quality metrics
• Coach employees on work quality and quantity, including fit up and welding processes, ensuring goals are met and solving issues as they arise
• Avoid production costs at or below budgeted levels
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance material flow through production processes
• Manage hourly employees, monitor and approve timesheets and work logs
• Assign employees to workstations and ensure proper training is completed
• Manage fit up and welding processes for assigned work groups and production bays, ensuring adherence to production policies and procedures

Requirements

• Associates degree or equivalent education with 5 years minimum relevant work experience
• Experience in a metal fabrication or welding facility, particularly with flux and/or metal core welding
• Thorough knowledge of blueprints and layouts, preferably related to transmission poles
• High level of dependability, maturity, and strong leadership characteristics
• Ability to work 2:45pm-12:45am, Monday-Thursday
• Regular and predictable attendance, positive attitude, and teamwork skills
