Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure products are run in the proper order, products are completed on time, products are rotated properly, all detection equipment is operating as it should, all packaging materials are tracked and ordered when needed.
  • Maintain compliance with facility operational plans, yield, throughput, maximum line efficiency, and quality requirements.
  • Implement strategies to reduce turnover, enhance safety results as measured by the Safety Scorecard, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to improve the skills of hourly production associates and boost team performance.
  • Generate and implement innovative solutions to improve operational performance, product quality, and customer reliability.
  • Promote and support Perdue Farms' annual People, Products, and Profitability goals by planning, communicating, and ensuring all team members are efficient and effective in their roles.
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping records, monitor employee break times, and take appropriate disciplinary action as necessary.

Minimum Education

  • A high school diploma.
  • A preference for an Associates degree in Business Administration/Management, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • At least 6 to 10 years of related experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Experience Requirements

  • Proven supervisory experience with a demonstrated ability to lead and achieve results.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to think strategically and plan long-term.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to travel to other facilities and plants for meetings and/or company business.

Experience Preferred

  • Bilingual: Spanish/English preferred but not required.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  • May need to access files, supplies, and equipment.
  • Exposure to wet and moist floors, temperatures ranging from 28°F to 100°F, and noise levels from 50 dB to 110 dB.
  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment as required by the Company.
  • Must be able to perform tasks such as climbing stairs and ladders, bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, sitting, and grasping.
