Production Sorter

About the role

Marathon is a growing staffing company with over twenty offices nationwide offering employees flexibility, on-the-job training, and support from a team with over 30 years of experience. We are seeking Sorters in York County, SC to work at a recycling plant.

New employees will receive training from knowledgeable supervisors on various operational tasks. Shift is 7 AM – 4 PM, Monday through Friday (overtime offered on Saturday).

Responsibilities

• Production sorting
• Fill and empty bins as needed
• Litter collection and disposal
• Solid waste collection and disposal
• Collection, storage, sorting, and transport of recyclable materials

Requirements

• Willingness to be trained on sorting and operational tasks
• Ability to stand and work for 8 hours
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Positive attitude
• Pass a drug screen and SLED background check

Dress Code

• Long pants (jeans or cargo/utility pants)
• Collared shirts or T-shirts with no offensive wording
• Safety toe work boots or regular tennis shoes
• No overly long nails or hanging jewelry
• No shorts

All necessary PPE equipment and masks for safety will be provided.

Pay

$14.00 per hour, with weekly pay on Thursday via direct deposit.
