Pay

Starting at $24.00 - $30.00+ per hour (based on experience and shift differential).

Schedule

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 1:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: 7:00 PM - 5:30 AM

Days: Monday (or Sunday) through Thursday, with possible overtime on Friday.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery to combine dry and/or liquid chemicals into customer products.
• Ensure the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost while meeting customer specifications and delivery requirements.
• Demonstrate and meet qualifications on all Blending or Extrusion operational areas.
• Demonstrate leadership and teamwork in all phases of the operation.
• Set up and start all machines, checking controls for adherence to mixing/blending or extruding procedures.
• Weigh ingredients to meet recipe specifications and insert them into machinery; ensure correct ingredients are delivered to the work area.
• Monitor production and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation; troubleshoot equipment and processing issues.
• Operate machinery to mix or extrude ingredients according to operating procedures.
• Examine materials visually or manually to ensure conformance to established standards.
• Take samples to quality control for testing; follow lab instructions for adjusting batches.
• Label finished product.
• Refer issues or problems to lead/supervisor for resolution.
• Perform all required machine cleaning.
• Complete and maintain all required SAP transactions; demonstrate expertise in SAP usage.
• Document work completed; accurately complete and update required paperwork (e.g., production logs, data reports, procedures).
• Participate in training new employees and re-training current departmental employees.
• Complete all necessary documentation at the end of shift.
• Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
• Support the vision, mission, and guiding principles of the company.
• Follow applicable ISO, EH&S rules and guidelines while performing any procedure.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical and Environmental Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to sit.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds; occasionally handle up to 250 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Use of safety equipment as dictated by work area (e.g., safety glasses, shoes, dust mask, hard hat, respirator, face shield, hearing protection, chemical suit, gloves, aprons).
• Moderate noise levels in the work environment, with high noise areas requiring proper safety equipment.
• Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, dust, fumes, airborne particles, chemical dust, and risk of electric shock or vibration.
• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions.
