Production Workers - All Shifts

About the Role

The Injection Molding Operator monitors injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic components, ensuring machines run efficiently, parts meet quality standards, and production goals are achieved.

Responsibilities

• Operate injection molding machines according to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Set up machines for production runs, including loading materials and verifying parameters.
• Monitor machine performance to maintain product quality and minimize downtime.
• Inspect parts for quality, checking for defects and ensuring they meet specifications.
• Document inspection results and report quality issues to the Shift Supervisor.
• Follow quality control procedures to maintain high standards of production.
• Identify and report basic equipment malfunctions and issues requiring technical assistance.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning machines and checking fluid levels.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe working environment.
• Participate in safety training sessions and report any safety concerns to the Shift Supervisor.
• Monitor production rates and strive to meet or exceed established targets.
• Work with team members to identify and implement process improvements.
• Maintain accurate production records, including downtime.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other departments.
• Assist in training new operators and sharing best practices.
• Contribute to a positive work environment by supporting team goals and initiatives.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint).
• Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read work orders and safety/quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand written and verbal English communication.
