Production Scheduler

About the role

We are seeking a production scheduler to work in one of our locations. The role involves planning and preparing production schedules for the manufacture of industrial or commercial products.

Responsibilities

• Establishing sequence and lead-time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders
• Making sure stock levels are monitored to ensure all materials ship or are used before they expire
• Analyzing production specifications and plant capacity data and performing mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements
• Planning and scheduling workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times
• Handling operations that delay schedules and altering schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
• Preparing production reports
• Creating lists of required materials
• Preparing purchase orders to obtain materials, tools, and equipment
• Performing weekly and monthly inventory of all supplies and preparing purchase requisitions

Qualifications

• Having a 4-year college degree
• Holding 2-5 years of work-related experience
• Show good math and basic computer skills
• Show attention to detail
• Show understanding of Material Resource Planning
• Show excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Understanding of warehouse management
• Production experience
• Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience within the Ink industry
