Production Scheduler 1st Shift

About the role

The Production Scheduler plays a crucial role in manufacturing and production, ensuring that workflows are optimized and deadlines are met. They work closely with various departments, including production, logistics, and procurement, to streamline processes and meet customer demands.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts and resource availability.
• Ensure proper use of inventory including a FIFO routine.
• Create and manage work orders for stock and custom parts.
• Track production progress, identify bottlenecks, and adjust schedules as needed.
• Collaborate with production teams, suppliers, and management to optimize efficiency.
• Maintain records, analyze production trends, and generate reports for management.
• Ensure adherence to industry regulations and company standards.
• Absorb and assist other teams and departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma
• Experience: Previous experience in production scheduling, manufacturing, inventory management, or logistics.
• Physical Requirements: Lifting capacity up to 30 lbs, prolonged periods of time on feet, standing, bending, exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and non-climate-controlled environment, noise tolerance.
