Production Relief Operator
Job Summary
DFA/Kemps has immediate job openings for Production Relief Operators to perform various tasks such as maintaining, breaking down, and setting up equipment and machinery, troubleshooting, and resolving basic to moderate operating issues. Relief operators will process finished or raw materials while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and communicating effectively with all departments.
About the Role
At DFA/Kemps, you will be part of a farmer-owned brand of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), a cooperative of dairy farmers. We manufacture a range of dairy products including cheese, butter, fluid milk, ice cream, dairy ingredients, and more, under well-known regional brands. As a Production Relief Operator, you will be compensated at $27.48 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, break down, and set up equipment and machinery
- Process finished or raw materials
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Communicate effectively with all departments
- Meet daily deadlines
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Able to pass pre-employment screenings including drug, background, and criminal checks
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work in a wet environment
- May have some exposure to dust, fumes, and cleaning chemicals
- Able to work flexible hours including overtime, occasional weekends, and holidays

Schedule
M-F 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM with some weekend work required

$27.48 per hour
