What You'll Do
- Schedule production across multiple segments of the value stream for the assembly of the Tesla SEMI
- Support manufacturing by creating production schedules that reconcile production capacity with demand for fabricated components, following the factory’s master schedule
- Perform analysis to support the roadmap for production capacity changes on assigned production lines
- Work with manufacturing & support teams to establish & improve processes (e.g. production batch sizes, material transfer processes & controls) for just-in-time or line-side Kanban delivery
- Respond to unanticipated changes—e.g. production shortfall vs. schedule or material shortages: provide information, impact assessment, and options to downstream shops, revise production shifts and or mix as needed
- Generate and publish production performance metrics and forecasts showing risk to supply of fabricated components vs. demand
- Represent production in the sales and operational planning process for Tesla Production, communicating plans, plan revisions, and production vs. plan to all Manufacturing, support, and business stakeholders
- Conduct daily meetings to keep track of production schedules with Production Control Clerks, Production, Packing/Shipping or any other related staff
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to monitor all supply chain activities and resolve all availability issues
- Prepare efficient training programs for all planning processes and manage inventory level for all components and finished products and ensure compliance to all business requirements
- Determine production requirements based on plant capability and production specifications
What You'll Bring
- Experience in Planning management in the manufacturing setting
- Leadership skills, teamwork, good written and oral communication skills, attention to detail
- Knowledge of Supply Chain and Distribution Management, ability to meet deadlines, conflict management, and effective interpersonal relationships
- Problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, recognizing opportunities for improvement in operations and reporting/information visibility
- Computer knowledge (MS Office and manufacturing systems)
- Experience working in SAP or other ERP system preferred
