Production Personnel

We are searching for experienced Production Personnel at our Redmond, OR facility to set up and operate a variety of machines and use various hand tools to fabricate and assemble doors.

Responsibilities

• Bore holes for insertion of screws or dowels.
• Glue, fit, and clamp parts and sub-assemblies together to form complete units.
• Drive nails or other fasteners into joints at designated places to reinforce joints.
• Sand and scrape surfaces and joints of articles to prepare for finishing.
• Install hardware such as hinges.
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
• Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes.
• Track production on schedule boards.
• Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
• Work in all areas of production for which you have been trained.
• Lift and carry 30-80+ lbs on a regular basis throughout the workday.
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
• Understand how errors in production, paperwork, etc. can impact the bottom line.
• Work closely with other production personnel promoting a “can-do” attitude.
• Work overtime as required.
• Maintain a professional and respectful relationship with all other employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
• Knowledge of all products and nomenclature (training provided).
• Adaptability to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, and handling frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.

Physical Demands

• Ability to sit or stand as needed.
• Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
• Lift and move larger, heavier items appropriately.
• Reach above shoulder heights, below the waist, bend, and stretch as needed to work on machinery.
• Exposure to manufacturing areas requiring use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, safety shoes, and hearing protection.
• Environmental conditions may include excessive heat or colder temperatures during seasonal changes.
