Production Staff

About the role

Grain Millers, Inc. is a leading provider of whole grain ingredients used in cereals, breads, bars, snacks and many other food products throughout North America. We have had no layoffs in our 35+ year history. Once you are a part of the Grain Millers team there is always opportunity for training and advancement within the company. We are actively hiring for all shifts, including day, swing, and night schedules. Shift differential may apply for eligible positions.

Responsibilities

• Help maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Package and stack finished production bags (50lb) in a neat and organized manner
• Understanding and following all required Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Procedures (training provided)
• Ability to take and follow instruction from team leaders
• Some utilization of computers to complete necessary production tasks
• Ability to drive a forklift (training provided on the job)

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to meet physical demand of the job including moving and stacking 50lb bags for prolonged periods of time
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for this position
• Some experience in the food industry a plus
• Previous forklift experience is a plus
• Ability to work with others in a team environment
• Must be able to pass company paid drug test excluding THC

• Starting wage $20.00/hour

Work conditions

• Operation of machines and able to work in elevated areas as required for service and maintenance of equipment
