Production Operator
About the role
The Production Operator supports manufacturing operations by performing material handling, equipment operation, and production tasks to ensure efficient and safe product output. This role contributes to consistent product quality by following established procedures, tracking production data, and maintaining organized work areas. The position plays a key role in supporting daily operations across production, warehouse, and shipping functions.
Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment and perform material handling activities, including transferring, dosing, and packaging materials.
- Track and record production data such as material usage, lot numbers, and process issues to ensure accuracy and traceability.
- Support production processes by assisting with blending operations, equipment handling, and operational tasks across departments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including performing manual cleanup and proper material handling.
- Follow all safety, operational procedures, and PPE requirements while identifying and reporting issues.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED with basic math skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, work orders, and standard operating procedures.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to operate or learn production equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, shoveling, and material handling.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment with strong reliability and self-motivation.
