About the role

Join our production team on Swing Shift and enjoy a consistent four-day workweek with three-day weekends every week! This position works Monday–Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., giving you Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off while still maintaining full-time hours.

Responsibilities

  • Performs repetitive work to support the assembly floor
  • Maintains embroidery machine by continually checking for thread/color balance
  • Ensures that all embroidery orders coincide with customers’ purchase orders and requests
  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the shift supervisor
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
  • Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required by the Facilities Coordinator and Production Manager
  • Performs tasks including hooping, threading the machine, etc.
  • Provides quick and efficient changeovers required as production of product changes
  • Demonstrates familiarity with basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above
  • Accepts and receives frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up
  • Performs tasks including hooping caps onto frame mount, placing mount onto embroidery machine using hands by pushing and adjusting mount onto machines (up to 17 hoops at one time)
  • Threads machine—required to reach above shoulders and adjust tension and threads
  • Performs maintenance of machine—ensuring proper lubrication and programming is adjusted per order
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year factory-related experience

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Effective communication skills
  • Good command of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, use simple math, and use basic hand-held measuring tools
  • Flexibility and willingness to rotate lines and jobs within area

Physical Demands

  • Light to moderate physical effort required
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
  • Regularly required to stand
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

  • Work performed in a temperature-regulated production environment
  • Exposed to light noise; may utilize air pods or hearing protection as desired
  • Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a drug screen and background check
