Production Duties
- Execute manufacturing process by operating designated production equipment.
- Select intermediates or raw materials, move and load it into production machines.
- Understand bill of materials and/or formula specifications, so the proper quantities of materials are added in the proper sequence.
- Maintain a safe and timely production schedule to meet specific quality standards.
- Accurately read control instruments, prepare neat & accurate records for all operations as required.
- Manufacture product in compliance with predefined process instructions and quality test requirements.
- Ensure efficient, uninterrupted production and identify and facilitate process improvements.
- Monitor equipment and report production information in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
- Keep records for production, raw material deliveries, quality samples and equipment and process performance.
- Prepare product packaging for next step in production or for final shipment to customer according to department specifications.
- Ensure proper operation, maintenance and cleanliness of various laboratory instruments.
Quality, Safety, Health and Environment
- Responsible for housekeeping in the plant and maintaining a clean, safe and clutter free work environment.
- Know the significant quality, safety & health, and environmental (QSHE) aspects/ impacts associated with work, including relevant legal/ other requirements and emergency preparedness and response.
- Understand and use the Corporate Sustainability Policy and the Integrated Management System (IMS) as guidance to continuously improve the QSHE aspects of job.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent education required.
- 5 years of industrial / manufacturing experience in a chemical or related field.
- Experience in a maintenance role for a manufacturing or related operation.
Knowledge and Skills
- Computer skills and laboratory experience are preferred.
- Basic chemistry knowledge preferred.
- Ability to communicate efficiently verbally and in writing with coworkers, supervisors and customers.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends, including operating facility alone on nights and weekends.
- Ability to work inside and occasionally outside exposed to heat, cold, dirt, and noise.
Pay
$28 - $32 hourly
