About the role
Under the direction of the Production Lead, the Production Operator is responsible for all activities related to operating production equipment per the instructions. This role ensures adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Standard Work Instructions (WIs), and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) to guarantee the quality and quantity of product produced.
Responsibilities
- Perform all job requirements in a safe manner using the required PPE.
- Report and address unsafe behaviors or equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of work area.
- Demonstrate Lock-Out/Tag-Out compliance.
- Follow GMPs and Food Safety compliance to ensure quality products produced are safe to consume.
- Participate and execute sanitation duties to maintain sanitary production areas in accordance with GMPs.
- Record operational and production data legibly, accurately, and error-free on specified forms.
- Escalate downtime when support is needed.
- Maintain a positive, pro-company, can-do attitude.
- Operate equipment within the assigned area and meet production and quality targets daily.
- Weigh and/or count product accurately.
- Accurately check in and out materials.
- Complete Disassembly, Clean, Reassembly (DCRs) safely and efficiently.
- Follow SOPs and WIs.
- Maintain 5S standards.
- Accurately print labels.
- Complete training on time.
- Train others as assigned.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma along with 1+ year of relevant work experience in a food or dietary supplement manufacturing facility.
- Ability to work within established routines, methods, and procedures under strict management parameters.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player in a diverse work group.
- Personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs, and cGMP guidelines.
- Compliance with company policies and procedures, maintaining regular work attendance.
- Perform other duties as required.
Pay
Expected salary range: $20–21/hour
