PRODUCTION OPERATOR

About the role

The Production Operator position involves rotating through various roles within the Crown Health Care Laundry plant, including Soil and Clean operations. Primary responsibilities include sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and loading linens for delivery to hospitals and medical facilities. Roles may vary based on production needs and employee skills.

Responsibilities

• Open and sort returned, soiled linen into appropriate classifications for washing.
• Operate various production equipment to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Rotate through different positions within the plant as needed.
• Learn and adhere to quality and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Education or GED preferred.
• Excellent teamwork skills required.
• Willingness to move between all jobs via rotation when needed.

Clean Operations

• Primary purpose: Secure linen carts, stack and build carts, and remove items from the Folder machine.
• Duties: Stack and build carts, count and stack linens, push full baskets to the next staging area, adhere to quality standards, and remove items that are not Crown Health Care Laundry Services linens.

Safety Standards

• Always adhere to all safety requirements for the equipment and the position.

Shipping Clerk

• Primary purpose: Fill finished carts, prepare them for shipment, and ensure they are loaded onto delivery trucks.
• Duties: Build carts, weigh and record information, enter data into shipping software, and load delivery trucks.
