Production Operator - API

About the role

The Production Operator is responsible for preparing, executing, and cleaning/turnover of production processes in poultry vaccine production, all performed in accordance with internal and external guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Egg handling (egg receipt, traying, disinfection processes, transferring eggs) and egg-derived processes & tissue culture (candling, incubation, inoculation, harvest, inactivation).
• Centrifugation, concentration processes, and filling operations (product emulsification, liquid filling processes, lyophilization).
• Process and equipment preparation, cleaning, and disinfection activities including washing, wrapping, and sterilizing glassware and equipment; loading/unloading autoclaves; and disinfecting room surfaces and equipment.
• Ensuring appropriate quantities of materials (chemicals, consumables, etc.) are available.
• Use of electronic systems (e.g., SAP) to stage materials.
• Maintaining procedural conformance during all production hours, including notifying supervisors/support staff to escalate findings of product non-compliances or equipment failures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks with moderate to limited supervision.
• Ability to perform duties according to established SOPs, production records, and company safety procedures.
• Complete training on time to maintain a current and up-to-date learning plan.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understands and practices proper aseptic technique and biosecurity measures.
• Ability to concurrently complete documentation and follow established protocols.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Must be available to maintain procedural conformance during all production hours, including weekends as needed.

Pay

Elanco anticipates the base salary for this position could range from $42,400 to $54,400 depending on qualifications, including education and experience. Full-time employees are also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
