Production Operator 1
About the role
We are hiring a Production Operator in Memphis, TN. The position involves filling cryogenic liquids and pure non-flammable industrial gases according to Airgas Fill Plant Standard Operating Procedures. Key responsibilities include setting pressure gauges, adjusting valves, observing scales, and inspecting cylinders.
Responsibilities
- Fills cryogenic liquids and pure non-flammable industrial gases according to Airgas Fill Plant Standard Operating Procedures.
- Sets pressure gauge to specified reading and watches for indication of full cylinders.
- Adjusts valves and observes gauge to fill cylinders to specified pressure.
- Fills cylinders to full capacity, rolls cylinders onto scale, and connects vent line to release excess gas and attain prescribed weight.
- Rolls cylinders onto platform, or positions cylinders in manifold racks manually or with the aid of material handling equipment.
- Tests gas for purity using testing equipment.
- Inspects or tests empty cylinders.
- Examines exterior of cylinder for surface defects such as dents, cracks, or burns, and deciphers whether or not to quarantine the cylinder for further inspection.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to become Forklift Certified.
- Valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Able to read and comprehend all written documents and instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift experience preferred.

Work Schedule
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with overtime as needed.
